These terms cover the use of squeakyfloor.ca. They are not the terms of any repair work, which are set out in the written quote for that specific job.
The information on this site
We have taken care to make the technical and historical information on this site accurate, and we have sourced the housing and construction claims rather than inventing them. It is general information, not advice about your specific property. No page here is a substitute for someone looking at your actual floor.
Prices and estimates
Every price range shown on this site is a typical starting range compiled from published cost data, provided so you can budget. It is not a quote, not an offer, and not a confirmed rate card. The calculator on the cost page produces an estimate on the same basis. The only binding number is the one in a written quote we have given you after seeing the job.
Warranty information
Where this site describes Ontario's new home warranty programme, it is summarising published guidelines as we understood them at the time of writing. Those guidelines are periodically revised and claim deadlines depend on your own possession date. Confirm anything that matters directly with the warranty administrator before relying on it. We are not able to advise on your individual claim.
Quotes and bookings
- Diagnostic visits and written quotes are free and carry no obligation.
- A quote sets out the scope agreed. If the scope changes once work is underway, we stop and requote rather than adding to the invoice.
- Any workmanship coverage applying to a job is stated in that job's written quote.
- Whoever instructs the work needs the authority to do so, which matters in rental and condominium properties.
